Devil
9 out of 10. This movie is about 5 people trapped in an elevator and 1 of them them is the devil! This is one of my favorite movies of the year by far because it was creepy, interesting, and it kept me guessing till the end. The plot moves at a steady pace (I wasn't bored for one second). If you like Suspense and Mystery than you will really like this movie! 9 out of 10.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
9 out of 10. This movie is a "basic" love story excect that in order to date the girl of his dreams Scott has to defeat her 7 evil exes. Thats the basic plot of this movie. The fight scenes and very imaginative and the visual style is striking! This movie had no slow parts and the video game references were hilarious. This movie is definitely one of my favorite movies of the summer! 9 out of 10.
The Expendables
7 out of 10. This movie stars Sly Stallone, Jet Li, and Jason Statham and co stars Dolph Lungren, Mickey Rouke, Steve Austin, and Terry Crews and if thats not enough testosterone for you there is also cameos front Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwartzanegger. If you love lots and lots of action and only a little plot than this is the movie for you. Don't get me wrong I reallllllly enjoyed this movie so go see it if you like this kind of movie! 7 out of 10. NO BRAIN REQUIRED!

INCEPTION
10 out of 10. This movie is perfect! The scenery and visual effects are beautiful and stunning! The plot is pretty confusing, but also very gripping! This movie will make 2 and a half hours seem like only half an hour. This movie has it all drama, action, mystery, and sci fi. This movie will satisfy men and women. It will leave you wanting more but, there are no questions left unanswered! This is the BEST movie of the summer and everyone should see it. 10 out of 10.

The Last Airbender
5 out of 10. This movie was ok. I didn't love it or hate. For his first special effects driven movie M. Night Shyamalan did great with the special effects but he was soarly lacking in the storytelling end. He should've taken another look at the source material because he didn't introduce key characters that important later on in the story. This movie was too short! This movie needed to be at least a half an hour longer! This movie only covered 1/3 of the story so I'm hoping that this movie makes enough money so the other two get made. Oh and if you go and see this skip the 3D. It's good but not worth it. If you're a fan of the series check it out. 5 out of 10.

Toy Story 3
9 out of 10. This movie was Awesome! Any fan of the first two Toy Story movies will love the storyline and the new characters in this movie. There was alot more character and story development in this movie than the previous two. At the start of the movie Andy( the owner of the toys) is packing for college and must decide what to do with his beloved toys and the story goes on from there. The ending was perfect so if liked the first two movies than you definitely have to checkout this one. Also, I saw it in 3D and it was definitely worth the extra few bucks if you like 3D. 9 out of 10.

The A-Team
8 out of 10. I thought this movie wasn't very realistic but that's not why I go to the movies. I go to the movies to be entertained and this movie was extremely entertaining. This movie had no slow parts but it did have plenty of action with some sarcastic one liners thrown in. this movie was about 20% comedy and 80% action so if you're a fan of the show or a fan of great action movies checkout The A-Team. 8 out of 10.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
6 out of 10. This movie doesn't offer much in the way of substance, but Prince of Persia is a suitably entertaining movie with lots of action like sword fighting and knife throwing. Prince of Persia is also a substantial improvement over most video game adaptations. I hope this is a sign that video game movies are going to continue to get better cause lets face there are going to be more movies based on video games. 6 out of 10.

Robin Hood
6 out of 10. This movie is a re- imagining of the classic story of Robin Hood. It's full of action right from the beginning and I think it's because of that is why I didn't really know what was going on. It wasn't until about half an hour to 45 minutes when things started to calm down. It was at this point I could start to follow the movie. I thought the rest of the movie was great. The plot was unlike any other Robin Hood movie i've ever seen. The action was great an so was the acting so if you're a fan of the story of Robin Hood check it out. 6 out of 10.
The Lovely Bones
7 out of 10. This movie is about a father trying to find out who killed his daughter. It was weird but interesting and a little confusing in some parts. This movie isn't really a mystery because you know who the killer is right from the beginning. The movie is more of a drama about a family dealing with a horrible tragedy. I found this movie to be a satisfying viewing because of the acting of Stanley Tucci. He did a great job with his role and the movie is worth seeing just because of him but there's also Mark Wahlberg, Racheal Wiesz, and Susan Surandon. This was not an easy movie to watch because of the subject matter but if you're in the mood for a good drama than check out The Lovely Bones. 7 out of 10.

Kick Ass
8 out of 10. Kick Ass Kicked Ass! This movie totally surprised me. The previews make it look like it's going to be a hilarious comedy but it's not. It's still funny while being pretty dark and gory. The plot simple but not too simple. I had a great time watching it so if you like comic book movies check it out! 8 out of 10.
A Nightmare on Elm Street
7 out of 10. This remake of the horror classic is creepy and suspenseful. It pays respect to the original while breaking new ground. Jackie Earle Haley's portral of horror icon Freddie Kruger is definitely just as good if not better than Robert Enguld's Freddie Kruger. If you're a fan of the original than check it out. You won't be disappointed! 7 out of 10.

Green Zone
8 out of 10. Matt Damon plays a similar character to Jason Bourne in Green Zone which isn't really a problem because the bourne movies are great and so is this movie. Green Zone is slow at times and the camera is a little too shaky during the action scenes. This movie is half a bourne movie and half a commentary on the war in Iraq. The plot is simple but not too simple so set your brain to about 60% and enjoy the ride!

Brooklyn's Finest
7 out of 10. Brooklyn's Finest is about 3 cops who work in the most violent part of New York. Thier paths intersect at the end of movie at a deadly location. They each deal with different moral issues such as weather or not to drug money to support a growing family. This movie was a gritty and intense look at the moral decisions some cops have to face. The Three lead actors (Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke, and Richard Gere) did a great job showing what it's like to face difficult moral dilemmas. If you like movies like Training Day then checkout Brooklyn's Finest. 7 out of 10

The Hurt Locker
7 out of 10. The Hurt Locker was an interesting take on the war in Iraq through the eyes of a bomb disposal unit. However I don't think it deserved the oscar for best picture. I of course believed that honor belonged to Avatar. The Hurt Locker was also more graphic than I expected with a scene involving a boy bomb and the language(almost every other word was a swear). I can see why alot of critics had this on thier top 10 lists for last year but it wouldn't be on mine. That being said I am giving this movie a 7 because I enjoyed seeing war through a different perspective so if you like war movies but am sick of the same old constant battle scenes than check out The Hurt Locker.

Alice In Wonderland
7 out of 10. Even though there are quite a few versions of Alice In Wonderland this movie is unique. This movie deals a grownup Alice making her second trip to Wonderland which she finds in chaos and disarray. Even though this movie is rated PG it is NOT intended for small children. This movie is dark and gritty with beautiful scenery and creatures.(Especially in 3D) The cast(Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Crispin Glover, and Anne Hathaway) delivers strong performances. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves the work of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp or to anyone who has some acid and some time to kill. LOL!!!

Shutter Island
8 out of 10. This film was confusing at times but the ending ties everything together quite nicely. The story moves at a steady pace with no slow parts where I would check my watch. There was a great twist at the end that I didn't see coming. Apparently I am not very perspective though because the ending didn't surprise my friends. Anyway, I thought it was a very fascinating mystery so if your into mysteries go see this movie.
Shutter Island
4 out of 10. although there was a certain sense of mystery, most people will figure out what is happening very early in the movie. just when you expect a twist to completely flip the movie, it never comes. i left the theatre disappointed. a movie designed to be ambiguous, mysterious, and confusing CANNOT end without a twist.

Avatar
9 out of 10. the movie was amazing. the effects and graphics (watched it in 3d in the theatre) were substantially better than anything i have ever seen. like justin said in his review, the plot was perfect, with no holes. finally, i think this movie would appeal to those of all ages.
The Blind Side
6 out of 10. one of the best acting performances by sandra bullock. however, the movie lacked real emotion that would have been evident in the true life story of the football player.
Up in the Air
6.5 out of 10. a look at an interesting profession with a good performance by George Clooney and Vera Farmiga. well written (by Jason Reitman) story and dialogue. ending leaves the viewer without any sense of satisfaction.
2012
2.5 out of 10. acting was sub par. special effects (which were suppose to be the highlight of the film) were weak and outdated for what is expected today. plot/storyline wasn't completely unrealistic, but was executed poorly.
From Paris with Love
From Paris with Love: 6 out of 10. This movie was chessy, cliched, and predictable but it was also funny and action-packed. I had alot of fun watching this movie. It was about two special ops. agents working for the U.S. government trying to takedown a terrorist cell. This movie stars John Travolta and Johnathan Rhys Myers who are believable as government agents. This movie was a mindless popcorn movie and I liked because of that because I like a good popcorn movie every now and then. If you're in the mood for mindless action I recommend this movie because once in while everyone is in the mood for a good popcorn movie. I do not regret paying 8 dollars to see this movie. This movie is rated R for strong violence and pervassive language. Have a great time at the theater. Jsmit

Avatar
Avatar gets a 10 out of 10 because it is the the most perfect movie I have ever seen. It's special effects are the most amazing thing I have ever seen. There were no plot holes and the storyline while pretty close to Dances With Wolves is fascinating. You with not want this movie to end or at least I didn't. I went and saw this movie twice so it must be an awesome movie. I think I said Enough so I'll just say goodbye and happy viewing.

Two very different sides of Sandra Bullock
l have recently seen 2 Sandra Bullock movies. 1 of them(The Blind Side) she could win an Academy Award for and the other (All About Steve) should've NEVER been made. The Blind Side is another sports movie based on a ture story. This movie was Sandra Bullock's best performance to date. She plays a woman (Liegh Ann Touey) that takes in an african american teenager (Mike Oher) to live with her and her family. While he lives with them he gets involved with the football team at a christian private school. l give this movie a 6 out 10. I liked the story but it's not something l haven't seen before. If you want to see a football movie that's a 10 in my book watch Remember the Titans if you haven't seen it yet. All About Steve is one of the worst movies l have ever seen and l wish l had my hour and 40 minutes back. l can't believe this movie was in theaters. lf anything it should've been released striaght to DVD. Really though this movie should'nt have been made at all. l'm sorry but l don't want to waste anymore of your time or mine so l won't even summarize this movie. Just please take my advice and avoid this movie at all costs. lt gets a 1 out of 10.

The Book of Eli
7.5 out of 10. denzel was great. played a very similar character to his character in "Man on Fire." the way it was filmed (including landscapes, colors, sounds, and shots) were different but good and artistic. action scenes were dark, raw, and great. nice story line as well.
The Book of Eli
Denzel Washington,Mila Kunis, and Gary Oldman star in tale of a man named Eli trying to get a book to a safe place. Along the way he runs into a villian of who just happens to want the very book Eli is trying to protect. The villian is Gary Oldman because he's an excellent villian Case in point Air Force One. I guess that means that means the hero is played by Denzel Washington. Anyways that's all I want give away about this movie because I don't want to away the ending. I greatly enjoyed this movie from it's dark and gritty opening to it's uplifting ending. It was full of action and there wern't any slow points in the movie where I checking my watch thinking when is this going to be over. The plot moved along steadily while explaining everything in do time. If I had the money I would go to see it again but I guess I'll just have to wait for the D.V.D. This movie earns an R rating with a good amount of violence and pervassive language so if you don't like those kinds of things then you might want to skip this movie. l how ever don't mind that sort of thing. My score for The Book of Eli is an 8 out of 10 so if you like great action and great plot lines than you'll like this movie.
