Green Zone

8 out of 10. Matt Damon plays a similar character to Jason Bourne in Green Zone which isn't really a problem because the bourne movies are great and so is this movie. Green Zone is slow at times and the camera is a little too shaky during the action scenes. This movie is half a bourne movie and half a commentary on the war in Iraq. The plot is simple but not too simple so set your brain to about 60% and enjoy the ride!

Brooklyn's Finest

7 out of 10. Brooklyn's Finest is about 3 cops who work in the most violent part of New York. Thier paths intersect at the end of movie at a deadly location. They each deal with different moral issues such as weather or not to drug money to support a growing family. This movie was a gritty and intense look at the moral decisions some cops have to face. The Three lead actors (Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke, and Richard Gere) did a great job showing what it's like to face difficult moral dilemmas. If you like movies like Training Day then checkout Brooklyn's Finest. 7 out of 10

The Hurt Locker

7 out of 10. The Hurt Locker was an interesting take on the war in Iraq through the eyes of a bomb disposal unit. However I don't think it deserved the oscar for best picture. I of course believed that honor belonged to Avatar. The Hurt Locker was also more graphic than I expected with a scene involving a boy bomb and the language(almost every other word was a swear). I can see why alot of critics had this on thier top 10 lists for last year but it wouldn't be on mine. That being said I am giving this movie a 7 because I enjoyed seeing war through a different perspective so if you like war movies but am sick of the same old constant battle scenes than check out The Hurt Locker.

Alice In Wonderland

7 out of 10. Even though there are quite a few versions of Alice In Wonderland this movie is unique. This movie deals a grownup Alice making her second trip to Wonderland which she finds in chaos and disarray. Even though this movie is rated PG it is NOT intended for small children. This movie is dark and gritty with beautiful scenery and creatures.(Especially in 3D) The cast(Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Crispin Glover, and Anne Hathaway) delivers strong performances. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves the work of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp or to anyone who has some acid and some time to kill. LOL!!!
